Position Overview
We are seeking two highly capable Audit Supervisors to join our Audit Advisory team in Parramatta.
This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of external audit engagements, overseeing fieldwork, reviewing audit files, and supporting the delivery of high-quality audit outcomes across a portfolio of clients.
You will act as a key client contact, coordinate audit activities from planning through to completion, and provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day execution of external audit engagements, including planning support, fieldwork coordination and file completion
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining professional working relationships
- Review audit work prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with auditing standards
- Identify audit risks, control deficiencies and reporting issues, escalating matters where required
- Prepare and draft audit deliverables, including audit findings, management letters and completion documentation
- Monitor engagement timelines, budgets and workflow to ensure timely delivery of services
- Provide on-the-job training, guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Ensure audit documentation meets internal quality standards and complies with professional and ethical obligations
- Liaise with clients to resolve audit queries and information requests efficiently
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards and Accounting Standards
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Completion of CA ANZ or CPA Australia qualification (mandatory)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in external auditing, including experience reviewing work and supporting engagement delivery
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards and Accounting Standards
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple audit engagements and deadlines
- Proven ability to review audit files and provide actionable feedback to junior team members
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and professional judgement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit/accounting systems used in professional services environments
Additional Information
- This role is based in Parramatta, NSW, with required on-site attendance at the office and client locations
- This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours per week, with additional reasonable hours during peak periods
- The position reports to the Audit Manager and supports engagement delivery across multiple clients
- Salary is aligned with market rates and commensurate with experience
