Position: Disability Support Worker
Female Support Worker Required – Broadmeadows (VIC)
We are seeking a caring, reliable and engaging female support worker to assist a bright and social 9-year-old girl who has an intellectual disability.
Days & Hours:
- Tuesday and Saturday
- 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- Potential for additional shifts in the future
About the Role:
This role involves supporting after school in a fun, structured, and supportive environment. She is a friendly and imaginative child who enjoys creative play, social interaction, and feeling involved in tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- School pick-up
- Transport to appointments
- Assisting with homework
- Encouraging independence and participation in daily activities
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive communication
- Engaging in play, creative activities, and routine-based tasks
About You:
- Female support worker
- Patient, kind, and energetic
- Experience working with children and/or intellectual disability (preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and encourage positive behaviours
- Reliable and organised
- Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (required)
- Current WWCC and Police Check
Desirable:
- Experience with behavioural support strategies
- Background in education, disability, or child development
Support Workers Required (Male & Female) – Preston
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide in-home support within a family environment.
The role involves supporting individuals with varying needs, which may include intellectual disability and autism. Some participants may be non-verbal and may at times display behaviours of concern, including self-injury or occasional aggression.
This position requires a high level of supervision, patience, and a calm, consistent approach. Key responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, supporting emotional regulation, maintaining a safe environment, and following established care or behaviour support plans.
Shifts may include evenings and/or overnight support. The role is important in ensuring participant safety and wellbeing, while also providing meaningful support to families.
About the Role:
We are seeking individuals who are dependable, adaptable, and experienced in providing person-centred support, and who can work collaboratively with families and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- School pick-up (from approx. 3:00pm)
- Supporting after-school routine
- Assisting with meals and personal care (including showering)
- Implementing calming strategies and structured routines
- Supporting positive behaviours and managing behaviours of concern
- Working on sleep routines and encouraging independent settling
Hours & Availability:
- Approx. 3:00pm – 9:00pm Weekdays and 10am - 4pm Weekends,
About You:
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disability, or complex behaviours
- Confident in managing behaviours of concern
- Patient, calm, and consistent approach
- Experience with sleep routines or behavioural strategies (highly desirable)
- Relevant qualifications (Disability, Community Services, or similar) preferred
- Valid Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
