THE ROLE
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Capsule Machine Operator to join our production team. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of encapsulation equipment to produce pharmaceutical and nutraceutical capsule products in compliance with GMP and batch documentation requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up, operate, and clean capsule filling machines (e.g. Bosch, MG2, or similar)
- Monitor machine performance and make in-process adjustments to maintain fill weight and quality
- Complete batch records, logbooks, and in-process check documentation accurately
- Conduct in-process quality checks including weight variation and capsule inspection
- Maintain a clean and compliant work area in accordance with GMP standards
- Report equipment faults, deviations, or non-conformances to the Production Supervisor
- Participate in cleaning and changeover procedures between batch runs
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience operating capsule filling or related pharmaceutical/nutraceutical machinery (preferred)
- Experience in a GMP, food manufacturing, or regulated production environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic — this is non-negotiable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
- Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Certificate III in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (advantageous)
