We are a leading provider of cleaning services and are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced Cleaning Team Leader to join our team at UniLodge The Lincoln House (125 Bouverie St, Carlton VIC 3053).
The role:
- Full-Time position
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am to 3:06pm
- 38 hours per week
- Hands-on Team Leader position
- Reporting to the Client Service Manager
About the role:
As a Cleaning Team Leader, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day cleaning and housekeeping operations at UniLodge The Lincoln House.
This is a hands-on leadership position, where you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the cleaning team while also actively completing cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a high standard across the site.
You will report directly to the Client Service Manager and will have light interaction with clients and residents regarding day-to-day requests and cleaning requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience is required
- Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to lead, support and motivate a cleaning team
- Ability to follow directions and work autonomously
- Strong customer service approach
- Ability to respond professionally to day-to-day client requests
- Police Check (must be valid within the last 12 months)
- Working with Children Check – Employee
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the cleaning team on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensuring cleaning and housekeeping duties are completed to a high standard.
- Being hands-on and actively performing cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
- Allocating tasks and supporting team members to ensure daily requirements are met.
- Monitoring the quality of cleaning across the site.
- Responding to day-to-day client requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Reporting any cleaning, maintenance or operational issues to the Client Service Manager.
- Following cleaning schedules, procedures and instructions.
- Completing equipment checks and ensuring equipment is used safely and correctly.
- Supporting the team with training and guidance when required.
- Ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintaining a positive and professional relationship with clients, residents and team members.
To be successful in this role, you will be a hands-on leader who is comfortable working alongside the cleaning team while also taking responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and quality of the cleaning operation. You will have strong housekeeping experience, good communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
