CMTL Group is currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join a trenching and drainage crew on a long-term civil construction project in Toowoomba, QLD.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator looking for consistent Monday to Friday work, with approximately 12 months of work available.

Scope of Work
- Operating excavators for trenching and drainage works
- Excavation for stormwater, sewer and water infrastructure
- Detailed excavation around existing services
- Trench preparation and backfilling
- Working alongside Pipelayers and Toppys
- Loading and moving materials as required
- Completing daily pre-starts and equipment checks
- Working safely around ground crews and other mobile plant
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience operating excavators on civil trenching and drainage projects
- Strong experience working around underground services
- Civil construction and earthworks experience
- Relevant Excavator RII/ticket
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to work effectively alongside a drainage crew
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Highly Desirable
- Experience with stormwater, sewer and water main projects
- Final trim and detailed excavation experience
- GPS experience
- Additional plant RIIs/tickets
- Previous experience on long-term civil infrastructure projects
About You
We're looking for an experienced Excavator Operator who is confident working closely with a trenching and drainage crew. You will need to be a capable operator who understands the importance of accuracy, communication and safety when excavating around underground infrastructure.
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
