Electrical Engineer
We are a national wholesaler for solar and energy products. We supply solar PV components, inverters, batteries, and accessories to retailers and installers across Australia backed by fast delivery and digital STC trading. We are looking for a full-time Electrical Engineer to support our sales teams. The position will be based in Richlands, Queensland.
The Electrical Engineer provides technical solutions and bridges the gap between complex electrical products and buyers, translating deep technical specifications into clear business value, validate system requirements and design tailored solutions for clients.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Lead product demos and explain complex electrical architectures (e.g., switchgear, power distribution, renewable setups) to non-engineer buyers.
- Review customer tenders, size electrical components, and draft formal scopes of work and pricing estimates.
- Answer engineering questions during client pitches regarding compliance, safety, grid standards, and integration.
- Create detailed drawings, plans, and schematics for electrical installations and circuitry using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Collect site data, perform complex calculations, and prepare charts and tabulations to ensure design accuracy.
- Ensure all designs and finished products comply with industry specifications, government regulations, and safety requirements.
- Calculate and estimate material costs and quantities required for projects.
- Create and maintain electronic and printed records of drawings, including "as-built" documentation
To be considered for this full-time position you will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering field and experienced in energy assessments, concept and feasibility studies, and evaluation of equipment and project design.
