Mt Buller has more than 300 hectares of spectacular skiable terrain including more than 80kms of groomed trails. This amazing ski area is accessed via Victoria’s largest lifting network of 21 lifts operated by Lift Attendants/Operators who are motivated, safety conscious, and service oriented.
As part of our lift operations team, you’ll enjoy working in a spectacular alpine environment and thrive on face to face contact with our guests.
What we’ll need from you:
This position will require you to volunteer to cover 35 lunch breaks (each lunch break is one hour, two breaks are available per day), for the purpose of providing lunch relief for Lift Operations and Access Control team members in accordance with the lift operations roster. You must be available to perform lunch relief duties from the commencement of the June school holidays until the end of the first week in September. As a volunteer you will be required to co-operate and assist team members of BSL. You must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions, and be of good health and fitness.

Your key deliverables will be:

Safely and efficiently operate ski lifts, assisting guests with loading, unloading, and safety procedures ensuring everyone gets home safely every day.

Maximise lift capacity by managing guest loading during peak times so our guests spend more time on the slopes then in the line.

Perform manual snow removal as needed, to keep things safe and pretty

Monitor Ski Data gate systems to ensure smooth access and optimal loading.

Provide guests with lift pass, mountain information, as well as product knowledge so they make the most of their day, every day.
What you’ll need to succeed:-
Available to volunteer from the June school holidays until the end of the first week in September
- Your excellent communication and guest service skills

Ability to maintain a pleasant, professional manner under pressure and during extremely busy times

Ability to physically work outdoors in different weather extremes and terrains, whilst still maintaining a friendly and positive disposition

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Your previous skiing and boarding experience will hold you in good stead as you ride to each lift area
Requirements:

Must be able to commit to 35 lunch breaks between the commencement of the July school holidays and the end of the first week in September
