Production Assistant/Laser Cutter Operator
Welcome to Online Laser Cutting - an online laser cutting company based in Brookvale working with businesses and creative people across Australia. We are passionate about bringing their ideas to life from our large range of 400+ colourful materials and wood.
We're looking for someone local who is a good multi-tasker and technically minded to help in our small and busy workshop. The role is working with our laser cutters and helping in our studio to get our orders out the door at lightning speed. You don't need to have any experience with laser cutters, we'll provide all the training you need. Though if you do that would be valuable but as outlined not essential.
This is a casual role 2 to 3 days per week. Mondays to Thursdays, with the potential for more hours as we get busier later in the year. Happy to work around tertiary study timetables which we understand change from term to term. We are keen to have someone on board that is keen to commit & stay with us for a good period of time as there is training involved.
The role would include…….
Assisting with the operation & maintenance of the laser machines.
Selecting material for the orders.
Operating Adobe Illustrator files to produce clients products.
Checking material stock levels and putting materials away after jobs.
Packing orders and booking jobs online.
Maintaining a clean workshop. ‘ We strive to keep a clean & orderly workshop to make our production flow seamlessly’. So attention to detail would be desirable.

*Has a great eye for detail and always spots those little issues that other people can't seem to see.
*Enjoys problem-solving and working with computers and machines.
*Is good at multitasking, juggling multiple jobs at once.
*Likes things to be organised and enjoys getting things done quickly and efficiently.
*Takes real pride in their work and never lets things slip by them.Is comfortable working independently.I
*Is hands-on and not afraid of picking up a saw, sander or screwdriver.
