The Role :
The Project Infrastructure Consultant is a member of the Cloud Practice responsible for supporting the delivery and implementation of infrastructure solutions within customer environments. The role works closely with senior consultants, architects, and engineers to assist in the deployment, configuration, and operational handover of infrastructure and cloud-based technologies.
The position contributes to infrastructure transformation and modernisation initiatives through solution implementation, technical documentation, customer engagement, and operational support activities. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the role assists in delivering secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure solutions while gaining exposure to project delivery methodologies, enterprise technologies, and customer-facing consulting engagements.
Skills/Experience required :
- Advanced VMware (Fundamentals or Associate-level certification or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and system administration.
- Working knowledge of AD & Identity Management.
- SCOM/SCCM
- Exposure to virtual machine deployment and management services, including:
- Virtual machines (VM)
- Storage (object, disk, file)
- Networking fundamentals (vDS)
- Familiarity with Dell server deployment with experience or exposure to:
- Dell OpenManage
- Dell PowerEdge support and deployment
- Awareness of identity and access management concepts, including:
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), MFA, and least privilege principles
- Experience in monitoring and governance tools such as:
- Azure Monitor
- Basic understanding of policies and tagging
- Foundational knowledge of:
- Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Basic networking (DNS, DHCP)
- Virtualisation concepts (VMware)
- Backup & Disaster Recovery Management
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot basic cloud and infrastructure issues.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work towards advanced certifications and deeper cloud expertise.
- Ability to follow documented processes and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Support additional tasks aligned with team objectives and ongoing learning.
