The Opportunity
This is a genuine frontline leadership opportunity focused on developing people, solving problems on the line, improving performance (OEE) and building capability across the production floor.
As an Area Lead, you'll lead a team of approximately 10–15 production employees within one of our manufacturing areas, helping to deliver safe, high-quality products while building engagement, capability and performance across the team.
Reporting to a Day Shift Manager, you'll spend time on the floor coaching operators, identifying opportunities for improvement, partnering with key stakeholders and helping solve problems proactively across operations, safety, quality and maintenance.
You'll work a permanent day shift roster (6:00am–6:00pm) with a structured roster that provides regular days off and fewer weekend commitments than many traditional manufacturing operations.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Drive a strong culture of safety, quality and accountability
- Conduct regular line walks and proactively identify opportunities for improvement on line performance (OEE)
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering and Quality teams to solve recurring issues and drive root cause solutions
- Support production performance through problem solving, operational leadership and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build capability through training, coaching and regular 1:1 feedback
- Contribute to production planning and operational decision-making
- Create a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture

Your Experience
We're open to leaders from a range of high-speed manufacturing environments. Dairy experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
What matters most is your ability to lead people, solve problems and drive results.
You'll bring:
- At least 3 years' leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience within FMCG, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, bakery or other high-volume manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated success leading teams and building capability
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience working with operational metrics such as OEE, attainment and continuous improvement
- A proactive mindset and the confidence to investigate issues, identify solutions and make recommendations
