Job Title: Cook Assistant - Entry-Level Position
About Us: Join the culinary team at Wharf One Food & Wine, located in the picturesque Darwin Waterfront Precinct with stunning views of Stokes Hill Wharf and the Darwin Harbour. We are currently seeking Cook / Kitchen Hand Assistants to join our kitchen and contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional food experiences.
Position Overview: You will be an integral part of our kitchen team, supporting in basic food preparation and cooking tasks. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field and grow within a dynamic restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of experienced chefs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Follow recipes and guidelines for food production.
- Support the kitchen team in day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- Basic cooking experience required; training will also be provided.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn.

Wages: based on Restaurant Industry Award 2025 Standards
- Permanent Part Time from L1: $24.95 per hour. Minimum 30 hours per week
- Full-Time: Salary based on minimum 38 hours per week. Holiday and personal leave accrued pro-rata, with salary determined by level of experience.
