ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant / All Rounder to join our team in Welshpool.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new skills, and being involved in a variety of workshop and site-based projects.
You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, assisting with fabrication, installation, and servicing activities. No two days are the same, with opportunities to develop skills across sheet metal fabrication, ductwork, industrial ventilation, and equipment installation.
This role would suit someone who is practical, eager to learn, takes pride in their work, and wants to build a long-term career within the trade industry.
Industry experience is not essential; however, some workshop, mechanical, construction, or hands-on experience is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist tradespeople with workshop fabrication tasks
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with onsite installations and servicing work
- Work safely at heights when required
- Read and interpret basic drawings and instructions
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Strong hands-on skills and mechanical aptitude
- Basic workshop or trade experience
- Ability to follow directions and work from plans
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable and safety-focused approach to work
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience with sheet metal, duct installation, or fabrication
- Welding experience
REQUIREMENTS
- Full working rights in Australia (working holiday visas only if you have experience in workshops)
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Current C-Class driver’s licence
- White Card
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Physically capable of workshop and site-based work
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket
- Working at Heights certification
- Forklift licence
- Welding or fabrication experience
