Join Our Team as a Team Leader Digital Solutions Architecture
We’re looking for a strategic and people-focused Team Leader – Digital Solutions Architecture to help shape the future of our enterprise digital environment and lead exciting new initiatives across AI, automation, data integration and modern digital platforms.
In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership across solution architecture, governance, and delivery—driving secure, scalable and innovative solutions that support business needs while enabling transformative projects such as AI-enabled services, agentic automation and the next generation of digital capability across the organisation.

Classification: Level 6–7 (Stream A)
About the Role
This is a critical leadership role within Information Services, responsible for:
- Leading solution architecture across applications, data, integration, and custom development.
- Managing and mentoring a team of technical specialists to deliver coordinated, high-quality outcomes.
- Ensuring high availability, performance, security, and resilience of digital solutions.
- Driving governance, change control, release management, and lifecycle practices.
- Partnering closely with business units and vendors to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
You will play a key role in shaping and delivering a roadmap for digital solutions aligned to Council’s ICT strategy.
Key Priorities
In your first 6–12 months, you will:
- Establish strong leadership and alignment across the technical team.
- Deliver a clear digital solutions architecture roadmap.
- Strengthen stakeholder and vendor engagement.
- Contribute to priority initiatives including:
- SaaS migration
- AI and automation (agentic solutions)
- Data warehouse and governance uplift
About You
Must-Have Experience
- Degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong experience leading technical teams or delivering enterprise ICT solutions.
- Proven capability across security, monitoring, disaster recovery, change and release management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
- Ability to lead multiple initiatives with autonomy, judgement, and a focus on outcomes.
- Experience improving solution maturity, business continuity, and application lifecycle practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with enterprise technologies such as SQL Server, IIS, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Power Platform.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Purview, Copilot, etc.).
- Familiarity with local government systems (e.g. TechnologyOne CiA, Infor Pathway,Frontier iChris and Brightly Asset Management).
- Experience with version control tools such as GitHub.
