We now seek a Manager Aviation Programs to oversee the operational and strategic delivery of the Connecting Queensland Fund, a key initiative identified in the Destination 2045 Plan. The successful applicant will work with industry leaders and government stakeholders to secure new international and domestic aviation services, driving connectivity crucial to Queensland's tourism and economic growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, this role involves:
Grant Program Management: Deliver the Connecting Queensland Fund through best-practice grant management, ensuring alignment with the DETSI Grants Administration Framework.
Strategic Oversight: Identify opportunities, evaluate risks, and manage budgets to deliver high-quality grant-funded programs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, aviation industry leaders, and other key stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
Project Oversight: Negotiate funding agreements, manage recipient portfolios, and monitor delivery of project activities and outcomes.
Policy and Reporting: Prepare high-level papers, reports, and submissions on tourism and aviation industry development matters for senior management, Ministers, and stakeholders.
Representation: Represent DETSI at industry forums and interagency meetings, and act as a key liaison between stakeholders.
