Join the City of Sydney and play a key role in developing frontline and management capability within our City Rangers unit. We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Development professional to co-design and deliver learning solutions that support compliance, performance, and staff development.
Key responsibilities:
- provide expert advice and support to managers on training needs, tailored learning programs and professional development solutions
- identify learning and capability needs across the City Rangers unit and proactively develop initiatives that improve individual, team and organisational performance.
- design, develop and deliver engaging learning solutions aligned with adult learning principles, operational requirements and legislative obligations
- drive the implementation of learning and capability initiatives, personally developing learning resources, coordinating stakeholders and delivering outcomes across multiple concurrent projects.
- proactively contribute to the L&D strategy for City Rangers including collaborating with People & Culture to tailor corporate training for City Rangers staff
- coordinate external providers and manage training logistics
- maintain accurate training records and up-to-date learning & development materials
- continually review and improve onboarding, learning systems and development practices to enhance capability across the unit.
We’re looking for someone with:
- certificate IV in Training and Assessment or relevant qualifications
- strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- proven experience designing and delivering learning programs, preferably in a regulatory, enforcement or local government setting
- knowledge of local government legislation and training compliance requirements
- sound Microsoft Office and database management skills.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
