As an established and growing family business in Melbourne's west, we're looking for an experienced Facility Manager to help lead our next stage of growth.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the business owners, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of both our award-winning grooming salon and enrichment-based dog daycare.
You'll become the operational backbone of the business- supporting our team, improving efficiency and ensuring every client and every dog receives an exceptional experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of approximately 15 staff.
- Creating and managing weekly rosters.
- Monitoring productivity and working closely with our Salon Manager to achieve service timeframes without compromising quality.
- Working closely with our reception team to ensure a premium customer experience from booking through to collection.
- Managing retail stock, consumables and inventory.
- Ordering supplies and liaising with suppliers.
- Processing invoices and assisting with business administration.
- Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, systems and operational efficiency.
- Supporting department leaders and helping resolve day-to-day operational challenges.
- Working alongside the owners to help drive business growth, profitability and team development.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership and genuinely cares about building a successful business.
You'll bring:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a management or operations role.
- Proven experience leading and motivating teams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Confidence making decisions and solving problems independently.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of business performance.
- Experience managing rosters, stock, suppliers and day-to-day operations.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed.
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience within the dog grooming, dog daycare, veterinary, pet retail or wider pet industry.
- Experience managing a service-based business.
- Knowledge of staff performance management and workflow optimisation.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
