About the opportunity
The Program Support Officer provides critical support to the Community Capability Team in the development, coordination and delivery of community engagement strategies and initiatives. Focused on building resilience to flood, storm and tsunami events, this role works closely with internal stakeholders, volunteers and communities to ensure effective program delivery, strong engagement outcomes, and continuous improvement.

About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain shared systems and filing while coordinating multiple daily tasks, combined with experience or knowledge in purchase orders and reconciliation of invoices
- Have a genuine interest in strengthening community resilience, and you approach your work with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Be proactive, adaptable and solutions focused as a collaborative team player with a positive attitude
