Anniebrook Farm is a unique family business on 17 acres. It is a working farm which includes both hospitality and retails venues; the farm café, gift shop, vineyards, farm animals as well facilities to hosts weddings, special events and tours. The Café Manager position involves the management of an establishment which is a mix of hospitality, retail and event venue.
Tasks and Duties to include;
· Managing day to day operations of the farm which includes café and retail store.
· Hiring, training and supervising the staff across the venue.
· Lead staff in the delivery of customer service
· Manage the booking system for visiting groups
· Manage supply of food stock, retail items and cleaning supplies
· Share the management of social media and communication promoting the venue, its products sold in the café and retail store with the owner.
· Manage the venue waste management, cleaning and chemical plan.
· For the Retail Store
o Organizing the range and mix of products, stock levels and service standards
o Manage customer service issues or improvements needed on a daily basis
· Café Operations;
o Liaise with chef and kitchen staff on produce and menu development
o Ensuring cafe complies with health regulations
· Manage special events at the farm and liaise with staff and customers on delivery of events including preparation of budget provide quotes to the customers.
· Financial Responsibilities;
o Undertake cash count daily
o Establish budget for café and retail store
o Drive café income and profitability through better budgeting and negotiating with suppliers.
Position Requirements
· Relevant qualification or equivalent work experience
· Experience and knowledge of the local produce
· In depth knowledge of food and wine
· Ability to control the financial performance of the cafe
Pay: $76,515.00 – $80,000.00 per year
