Where you'll be working
Ryde Hospital is currently undergoing an exciting $479 million Redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community. The Redevelopment will result in new and enhanced health facilities and services including emergency, critical care, inpatient, community, ambulatory care services and more.
What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of Trainee in Emergency Medicine is to provide high quality medical care under appropriate supervision to undifferentiated patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Trainees undertaking the care of medical patients should ensure that they operate within their own level of expertise within a collaborative clinical care model and to seek consultation with their colleagues when appropriate. Trainees work under a level of supervision appropriate for their stage of training.
Ryde is accredited for 6 months full time in ED, and accredited terms in ICU or General Medicine can be arranged. It is possible to do 12 months half time in ED and all the above is pro-rata for half time. This position is suited to an Advanced Trainee planning to undertake their fellowship exam in the next 12 months.

Equal number of education/quality shifts, and day, evening and night shifts in addition to study leave entitlements
