Join Hunter New England Local Health District, a large and diverse health district committed to delivering excellent patient care across metropolitan, regional and rural communities.
This 12-month position offers broad clinical exposure across Hunter New England Emergency Departments within a supportive and collaborative training environment. Trainees will work across a range of metropolitan and regional sites, gaining experience in both high-volume tertiary referral centres and regional Emergency Departments.
Working across sites including John Hunter, Belmont, Maitland and Calvary Mater Hospitals, you will develop your clinical skills while being supported by experienced Emergency Specialists committed to education, supervision and professional development.

What you will be doing
Provide emergency medical care to patients while developing clinical experience and expertise under the supervision of Emergency Specialists across Hunter New England Emergency Departments.
This role is ideal for junior doctors with at least two years postgraduate experience who are seeking to build strong Emergency Medicine skills before entering specialist training in Emergency Medicine, critical care, General Practice, or while exploring their long-term career pathway.
You will participate in a seven-day rotating roster, including evening and night shifts, and develop proficiency in the assessment and management of a wide range of adult and paediatric emergencies.
Successful applicants will be offered contracts of up to 12 months' duration.
