Nextt is seeking an experienced
Female Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a client with a spinal injury in
Port Macquarie.
Due to the personal care requirements of the role and the client’s preference, this position is open to
female applicants only.
About the Role
We are looking for a confident, reliable and experienced Support Worker who is comfortable providing complex care while supporting the client’s dignity, independence and daily routine.
Support will include:
- Personal care
- Bowel care
- Manual handling
- Supporting the client with their daily routine and care needs
Shifts
Shifts are available 7 days per week, commencing at 6:00am through to mid-afternoon.
There is flexibility to select days that suit your availability, making this role suitable for applicants seeking regular morning/day shifts.
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you will need:
- Previous experience supporting clients with spinal injuries and/or complex care needs
- Demonstrated experience with personal care and bowel care
- Strong manual handling experience
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Completed NDIS Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
- Current Valid Driver’s Licence
- Reliable transport
- A respectful, patient and person-centred approach to support
Pay Rates
E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
- Base hourly rate: $36.81
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $40.49
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $41.23
- Saturday: $51.54
- Sunday: $66.26
- Public holiday: $80.99
