As a Diesel Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of heavy vehicles. You will maintain, test, and repair diesel motors and the mechanical parts of trucks, buses, and other heavy vehicles, including transmissions, suspension, steering, and brakes
About the Company
Founder Enterprises Pty Ltd is an emerging force in the aftermarkets parts brands which currently include Fortus Group, DEKK Rubber Tracks & Pads, and ITC Agriculture. We have been supplying parts to mining, construction, and quarry for 26 years and now agricultural with the recent acquisition of ITC Agriculture.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain, test, and repair diesel motors and mechanical parts of heavy vehicles.
· Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in engines and components.
· Dismantle, remove, and reassemble engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other parts.
· Perform scheduled maintenance services (oil changes, lubrications, tune-ups).
· Test and adjust repaired mechanical parts for optimal performance.
· Diagnose and test parts using computer-assisted tools.
· May also inspect vehicles, issue roadworthiness certificates, or respond to breakdown calls.
Qualifications and Experience
· Certificate 3 in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification in Automotive Heavy Mechanics
· Strong understanding of diesel engine technology and repair procedures
· Experience working with heavy commercial vehicle systems (transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
