About the Role:
PGH Bricks, part of CSR, is Australia's leading manufacturer of quality building products. We are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance function at our Cecil Park manufacturing site. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced maintenance leader to make a genuine impact on site performance, reliability, safety, and continuous improvement within a well-established manufacturing operation.
While ideally suited to an experienced Maintenance Manager, this role could also be the perfect next step for a high-performing Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Team Leader, or Senior Maintenance Coordinator ready to broaden their leadership responsibilities. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead an established maintenance team and take ownership of maintenance strategy, budgets, shutdown planning, asset reliability, and site-wide improvement initiatives. You'll play a critical role in supporting production outcomes across a 24/6 manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on building team engagement, optimising plant performance, and fostering a proactive safety culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the site's maintenance team, fostering a strong safety and performance culture.
- Manage maintenance budgets and deliver maintenance activities within allocated costs.
- Coordinate maintenance resources to maximise plant availability, reliability, and productivity.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs, shutdowns, and maintenance schedules.
- Drive OEE improvements and champion reliability initiatives across the site.
- Implement and manage the CSR Way Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Manage service contractors and ensure compliance with all safety and site requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective spare parts and inventory management processes.
- Work closely with production and operational stakeholders to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Lead maintenance-related projects and support broader operational improvement initiatives.
- Set and monitor maintenance KPIs aligned to safety, reliability, and operational performance.
About You:
You are a practical, visible leader who enjoys working closely with teams on the floor. You bring strong technical and operational capability, coupled with the ability to build engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement across a manufacturing environment.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Superintendent, Reliability Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, building products, heavy industry, industrial processing, or comparable environments.
- A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Electrical, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong maintenance planning, shutdown management, and project delivery experience.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing maintenance teams.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement, Lean, 5S, TPM, or reliability programs.
- Strong understanding of maintenance best practices and asset management.
- Experience using SAP or a similar CMMS for maintenance planning and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Experience working in unionised environments will be highly regarded.
