Registered Nurse – General Practice (Practice Nurse)

We are a busy, family-friendly General Practice located in Laverton, committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our supportive team.
General Practice experience is preferred; however, we are happy to provide comprehensive training and induction for the right candidate who is eager to learn and develop their skills.
About the Role
As our Practice Nurse, you will work closely with our GPs and administrative team to provide exceptional patient care and support the smooth operation of our treatment room.
Duties include:
- Chronic Disease Management
- Preparing GP Management Plans (Care Plans) and Health Assessments
- Immunisations
- Wound care and dressing management
- Assisting GPs with minor surgical procedures
- Treatment room management and stock control
- Infection prevention and control
- Patient recalls and reminders
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Assisting the practice in meeting RACGP accreditation standards
- Providing excellent patient care and communication
- Occasional reception support as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 1 year of General Practice nursing experience preferred but happy to train a newly graduated nurse.
- Experience in Chronic Disease Management, Care Plans, Health Assessments, immunisations, and wound care is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work independently as the sole nurse during your rostered shifts
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
