We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Work Health, Safety and Compliance Partner to join our growing People and Culture team. This newly created position reports directly to the Head of People and Culture and works closely with leaders across the organisation. You will play a key role in shaping our safety culture, strengthening compliance, and embedding practical, sustainable WHS practices. Your work will make a visible difference — safer workplaces, confident leaders, and a proactive approach to wellbeing and risk.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate WHS compliance, reporting and governance across the organisation
- Lead WHS incident reporting and investigation processes
- Maintain WHS systems, documentation and statutory registers
- Support and coach leaders to meet their WHS responsibilities
- Manage Injury Management (IM) and Return to Work (RTW) processes
- Coordinate WHS and compliance training for leaders and frontline staff
- Lead and support risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections
- Analyse safety data and translate insights into practical, actionable improvements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of WHS systems, processes and practices
You will have:
This is a hands on role suited to someone with strong stakeholder engagement skills, a practical mindset and the confidence to operate in a complex, people centred environment. You build trust quickly, communicate with clarity, and bring a calm, solutions focused approach to your work.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Occupational Health, Human Resources, Law or a related
discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum four years’ experience in a WHS and/or compliance role, with demonstrated
contribution to safety improvement and zero harm initiatives
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and contemporary practice, ideally within
aged care, health or community services
- Experience developing and delivering WHS training and guidance to leaders and frontline
staff
- Demonstrated capability in leading risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections
- Ability to interpret and analyse safety data to inform decision making
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Experience supporting workers’ compensation, injury management and RTW processes
In addition, you will need to have:
- Right to work in Australia (VEVO check)
- Current South Australian driver’s licence
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
