Job Description
As a full-time Chef at Yep Burgers, you will work closely with our Head Chef to prepare and present our premium scratch-menu while supporting daily kitchen operations. This is a role for a skilled line professional who takes pride in execution, consistency, and speed during high-volume service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Execution: Prepare and cook dishes to exact recipe specs and presentation standards during intense, high-volume rushes.
- Prep & Precision: Assist with scratch-prep, including grinding custom brisket blends and crafting house sauces.
- Inventory Support: Monitor stock levels, order kitchen supplies, and store/preserve ingredients correctly to minimise waste.
- LTO Support: Assist in executing monthly specials, limited time offers, and testing new flavour profiles
- Quality & Safety: Maintain strict hygiene, HACCP food safety standards, and deep-cleaning schedules.
- Teamwork: Monitor food quality on the line and train or supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or international equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen.
- Line Stamina: Proven ability to work efficiently and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Standards: Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and scratch-cooking techniques.
- Attitude: Excellent communication skills, strong team collaboration, and a positive work ethic.
Pay: $74,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
