About the Role
As the Community Strengthening Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering the DCJ Children and Families (CAFS) Community Strengthening Program through:
Delivering community development initiatives, workshops and events.
Providing intake, assessment, information and referral support.
Connecting children, young people and families with appropriate services.
Maintaining strong relationships with community organisations and stakeholders.
Supporting the intake function across our Casino, Kyogle and Lismore hubs.
Acting as a key support person for our CHILIDB client management system.
Contributing to continuous improvement, reporting and quality outcomes.
You'll work within a trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally safe framework, helping communities build resilience, connection and wellbeing.
About You
To be successful, you'll bring:
A Diploma or tertiary qualification in Community Services, Community Development or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Experience delivering community development, engagement or early intervention programs.
Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally safe and child-safe practice.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality documentation and client records.
Desirable experience includes:
DCJ Children and Families (CAFS) programs.
Data Exchange (DEX) reporting.
CHILIDB or similar client management systems.
