Protec Safety is a growing fire and electrical compliance company servicing commercial, property management, SDA and co-living clients across Brisbane, Gold Coast, & Surrounding Areas.
We are looking for a reliable and motivated technician to join our field service team.
This is a hands-on mobile role suited to someone who enjoys variety, independence, problem solving and working directly with clients. Our technicians are trusted to think on their feet, communicate professionally onsite and solve problems independently while delivering high quality service.
About the Role
You will service and maintain a range of fire and electrical compliance equipment including:
- Fire extinguishers & fire blankets
- Fire hose reels
- Smoke alarms
- Exit & emergency lighting
- Electrical Test & Tag
- RCD testing
- General compliance inspections
- Digital reporting using mobile devices
You will work independently throughout the day while remaining supported by our office and operations team.
What We’re Looking For
Industry experience is highly regarded, however we are also open to applicants from other trades or service industries who are willing to learn.

Preferred Experience (not essential)
- Fire industry experience
- Test & Tag experience
- Smoke alarm servicing experience
- Electrical or trade background
- Experience using job management software
- QBCC Fire licence or willingness to obtain
Requirements
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Strong communication skills
- Good time management
- Strong focus on safety and compliance
What We Offer
- Full-time permanent position
- $35 – $45 per hour + super + company vehicle & tool of trade.
- Starting rate will depend on experience, licensing, attitude and overall capability
- Ongoing performance and remuneration reviews following the probation period
