The Opportunity
We are seeking committed and skilled Bakers/Pastry Cooks to help produce our range of pies, pastries, cakes, and breads. You will work within a modern, well-equipped production kitchen alongside a supportive team that values quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This role is hands-on and suited to someone who thrives in a busy, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Produce daily breads, cakes, pies, pastries, and related products to Pinjarra Bakery’s quality standards.
Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients with precision.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and high-quality outcomes.
Maintain effective quality control and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
Complete general food preparation and assist with weekly stock ordering.
Pack and prepare finished products for distribution across multiple stores.
Contribute to new product development as required.
What You’ll Bring
A genuine passion for baking, with strong skills in pastry, bread, and pie production.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
Strong organisational skills and an excellent standard of cleanliness.
Commitment to food safety, HACCP compliance, and workplace health and safety.
A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Effective time management and the ability to multitask under pressure.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified Pastry Cook/Baker with a minimum of five years’ professional, relevant experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in baking and pastry techniques within a commercial or industrial kitchen environment.
Experience in producing large quantities while maintaining consistent quality.
Salary & Conditions
Full-time permanent position.
Salary between $70,000 - $80,000 depending on skills and experience.
Additional guaranteed allowances or overtime (if applicable) will be specified in the employment agreement.
