Mad Shak’s Café is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Barista to join our busy weekday team.
This is a Monday–Friday role 10am-3pm . No weekends required.
While coffee quality is a priority, this is a true all-rounder position. We are looking for someone who is happy to take ownership of the machine while also contributing across front of house and supporting the kitchen when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing high-quality espresso-based coffee and cold beverages
- Dialling in grinders and maintaining consistency during peak service
- Taking and finalising customer orders
- Processing payments using POS
- Serving Customer Food from Bain Marie and Operating Sandwich Toasters.
- Greeting customers and promoting daily specials
- Opening and closing procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming café environment
- Front-of-house cleaning including sweeping, mopping and end-of-day pack down
- Assisting the kitchen team when required (light prep, service support, or stepping in during busy periods)
About You:
- Minimum 2+ years solid barista experience (essential)
- Confident working independently on a commercial machine
- Comfortable working across both coffee and general café duties
- Able to manage busy periods calmly and efficiently
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Seeking a stable, long-term weekday role
