Where you'll be working
Located at Westmead Hospital – BreastScreen Sydney West Screening Sites, you'll join the Breast Cancer Institute within Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). Work within a specialised breast imaging and cancer care service

What you'll be doing
Bring your technical expertise, attention to detail and commitment to patient-centred care to a role where every image matters. You'll perform mammography to a high clinical standard while contributing to the quality, safety and efficiency of the BreastScreen service.
Deliver expert mammography and breast imaging services across screening and diagnostic settings
Maintain high-quality imaging and contribute to mammography quality assurance activities
Provide compassionate, person-centred care while supporting patients throughout their imaging experience
Maintain accurate patient information and imaging records across RIS/PACS and BIS
Share your knowledge by supporting orientation, training and supervision of colleagues when required

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
Registration: Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA)
License: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
Selection Criteria:
High level customer service skills and Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
Highly developed communication with working in a multidisciplinary team and other health professionals
Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues and problem solving, Understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy
Experience in mammography with knowledge of quality assurance would be desirable. Maintaining high quality imaging, performing over 50% of Perfect and Good imaging, keep below the Repeat Rate (2%) and Technical Recall Rate of all imaging.
Ability to assist in training others (give orientation and be able to supervise when required)
Working towards completing Certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months of starting
