About the role
As the Pharmacist - Assistant Director, Clinical Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple multidisciplinary pharmacy teams while maintaining advanced clinical practice within your area of expertise. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering contemporary clinical pharmacy services that support safe, effective and patient-centred care across Metro North Health. You will lead the operational delivery of clinical and medication management services, drive quality and medication safety initiatives, and contribute to the strategic direction of the Pharmacy Service.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide Clinical Pharmacy services for an appropriate clinical case load in area of clinical expertise using advanced proficiency in contemporary clinical pharmacy practice.
Apply advanced clinical knowledge and skills to the management of Pharmacy Clinical Services to patients, ensuring alignment with District and corporate imperatives, legislative requirements and organisational policy.
Professionally lead the delivery of clinical pharmacy services within the Pharmacy Multidisciplinary Team, providing expert clinical advice to health practitioners in order to deliver effective health services.
Operationally and professionally manage the ambulatory care pharmacy portfolio, including associated activity targets and revenue in collaboration with Assistant Director - Cancer Care Services.
Manage and lead projects that achieve improvement in clinical services, patient care and business processes.
