The Role
Reporting to Manager, Business Partnering, you will partner with leaders across the organisation to deliver contemporary HR solutions, support workforce capability, and contribute to a positive and high-performing work culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide timely and professional HR advice and support across the employee life cycle
- Assist managers with performance management, employee relations and case management matters
- Support job evaluation process and position description development
- Coordinate and contribute to learning and development initiatives
- Interpret and provide advice on Council policies, procedures, directives, awards, enterprise agreements and relevant industrial instruments
- Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning activities as required
- Contribute to development of key People & Culture projects and initiatives that enhance employee engagement, capability and organisational effectiveness.
About you
-
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources and or Certificate IV in Human Resource Management, or significant related field or relevant industry experience and or equivalent experience.
- Contemporary experience implementing strategies and plans to deliver service unit objectives within scope and in accordance with policy and processes.
- Exposure and Experience in the provision of advice across different areas of the employee life cycle
- Appetite to gain exposure to ER/IR case management
- A quick learner able to interpret and apply the EA, policies and procedures
- Excellent stakeholder management experience and a demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service to diverse stakeholders and internal customers
- Strong ability to maintain discretion and confidence and deal with highly sensitive information
