The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Speech Pathologists - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Deliver high-level clinical services with a varied and complex caseload
Provide assessment and management of complex communication and feeding disorders
Actively contribute to service development, quality improvement, education and research
Utilise high-level communication skills to collaboratively support and mentor all members of the speech pathology team
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in Speech Pathology
While not mandatory, Speech Pathology Australia membership is highly desirable
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Driver Licence
Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary full time or Temporary part time (one full time position, or several part time positions, hours negotiable, up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $4 912.70 - $5 286.40 per fortnight or $64.64 - $69.55 per hour
About Us
The Gold Coast Health Speech Pathology Service has been active in translating current evidence into new service delivery models for adults with communication and swallowing problems. This has included: implementation of innovative models of care for aphasia, voice and fluency disorders; use of technology, group interventions, speech pathology therapy assistants and student clinics to increase intensity of treatment; expanded scope of speech pathology practice and cough reflex testing.
