Your passion for High Intensity Care Supports
We are looking to employ the right female staff at the request of participants, who have a passion for supporting people with High Intensity Support and can confidently follow Support Plans. You will receive full training and support. These roles rely on your commitment to being a consistent familiar face in the person's life so that they can access the opportunities we all take for granted.
You will have face to face support from our experienced and passionate management team based at our office in Bundaberg city.
Immediate Orientation, Training and Start.
Due to a number of new clients coming to join our service we are now seeking passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our established teams delivering In-home Support and Community Access in and around Bundaberg. You will support female and male participants with a variety of personal care, transportation, daily living and capacity building skills in their own home and whilst out in the community.
Sifts Available: Weekday and weekends with a range of shifts between 8:00am – 5:30pm
Rosters are set out fortnightly in advance so you can plan your work life balance. We welcome for you to pick up additional shifts at any time when you have availability.
Suburbs: Bundaberg and surrounding areas including Bargara, Elloitt Heads, Burnett Heads, Coral Cove.

Support Worker Duties
Shifts will include supporting clients with daily living and capacity building skills including:
- Facilitating choice and decision making to promote personal preferences and person-centred practice.
- Social inclusion including engaging family and community, planning and coordinating social activates, games and movie nights, meal planning and cooking, shopping.
- Following care plans E.g. Behaviour, Mealtime, Seizure, Exercise.
- Personal care - Toileting, continence, showering, grooming, dressing.
- Mobility- Safely moving around the home, manual transfers, using equipment and aids.
- Communication support with choices and decisions, personal safety.
- Money and personal finances management including utilising self-serve facilities.
- Medication administration - administering medications, supporting self-medication.
- Basic household duties - cleaning, washing clothes, cooking and other.
- Community access – attending events, hobbies, groups, clubs, interests, education.
- Transport to appointments, using public transport or in a worker’s car (own car is a bonus, mileage maybe payable subject to participants plan).
- Maintaining contact with family, friends and other stakeholders.
Must haves that will be discussed at Interview
- An ability to bring your enthusiasm, positive attitude, creativity and interests to work, to benefit, engage and motivate people to pursue their interests and to live a safe, healthy and dignified life.
- Experience supporting people with High Intensity Care Support Plans.
- Drivers Licence and own vehicle. Additional Mileage allowance is paid subject to participants plan.
- First Aid and CPR.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Blue card, if you are working with under 18s.
Desirable
- Relevant Certificate iii level study.
- Previous experience supporting people with ASD diagnosis.
