As a Commis Chef at Pool Terrace Resturant, you'll work both individually and as a member of a cohesive team to provide consistently high standards of food quality and production, whilst adhering to Hamilton Island Resort's product standards and specifications.

Prepare and bake high-quality bread, pastry, and baked goods from scratch.

Support daily high-volume production for both retail and restaurant service.

Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards.

Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene protocols.

Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet production schedules and daily targets.
You’re a passionate Commis chef who takes pride in your craft and works well in a fast-paced team environment. You’re reliable, efficient, and dedicated to consistently producing quality food

Trade certificate in Retail/Baking combined or in patisserie through TAFE, or equivalent (Essential)

Minimum one year experience as a Commis chef in an international hotel, restaurant, or reputable commercial kitchen (Essential)

Through knowledge and experience of volume production (Desirable)
