A leading Australian fashion retailer is seeking an experienced
Quality Assurance Officer to play a key role in delivering beautifully made, commercially successful product across womenswear.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative product team where you'll have genuine influence over fit, quality, supplier performance and product development from concept through to bulk production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fit sessions alongside Design and Buying, providing technical expertise to achieve the best fit and garment construction.
- Oversee product quality throughout development through to bulk production, ensuring consistency across all styles.
- Build strong relationships with offshore suppliers and factories, providing clear technical guidance and resolving quality issues proactively.
- Manage critical path priorities to ensure samples, approvals and production milestones are achieved on time.
- Review testing, care labels and quality standards to ensure compliance and minimise risk.
- Analyse faulty returns and warehouse QA performance, identifying opportunities to continually improve product quality.
- Support and mentor QA team members while contributing to process improvements across the wider department.
About You
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance, Senior QA or Garment Technology role within the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, grading and fit.
- Experience conducting fit sessions and approving garments for bulk production.
- Excellent understanding of quality standards, garment testing and care labelling requirements.
- Confident communicating with offshore suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience will be highly regarded.
