ACP are currently seeking friendly and reliable support worker in St albans and Ardeer Area and are keen to speak with applicants who have at least 2 year of disability support worker experience and who are committed to delivering quality care for their clients.
Applicants must be flexible and able to work across a variety of days & hours each week and be willing to travel to client's home as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
- NDIS WORKER SCREENING CHECK, POLICE CHECK, FIRST AID/CPR, WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK, CAR & CAR LICENCE ARE ESSENTIAL
- At least 2+ years' experience of working as a disability support worker.
- Experience of working (or lived experience) with people with Autism/ADHD, Mental Health, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health, Dementia , Schizophrenia , Behaviours of Concern, Restrictive Practices will be highly regarded.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, CPR & First Aid, right to work in Australia, 100 Points of ID, Driving Licence and access to a reliable car are essential.
- Cert III Individual Supports, Cert IV Disability and / or Mental Health Care Qualification, or equivalent are preferred.
- Full driving license, access to a reliable car & comprehensive car insurance.
- Ability to communicate, problem solve and use life experience along with integrity, honesty & reliability are critical attributes for this role.
You will be required to attend an induction & training day and ongoing undertake online knowledge & skills development as part of your role.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist participants with daily living activities (meal prep, etc.)
- Support participants in engaging with community and social activities
- Provide transport and ensure safe travel to community events and appointments
- Promote independence by assisting with life skills development (e.g., public transport, social interaction)
- Follow individualized support plans and track participant progress
- Empower participants to make choices and advocate for their needs
- Respect and accommodate cultural, religious, and personal preferences
- Ensure participant safety and manage risks during outings
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress with the care team
- Collaborate with other support workers and healthcare professionals
NOTE: All the roles available include some level of personal care and assistance as a standard part of the disability support worker's role.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
