About the Opportunity
The Content Producer is responsible for creating and publishing content across the Library's digital platforms to grow online audiences, deepen engagement and elevate State Library Victoria's brand.
Working within the Creative Studio team, the Content Producer authors and edits engaging content for websites, digital experiences and digital media, ranging from concise microcopy to longer-form editorial storytelling. The role collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders to bring the Library's collections, services, programs and stories to life through accessible, audience-focused digital content.
Reporting to the Head of Creative Studio, the Content Producer identifies opportunities for innovative digital storytelling, using data insights to enhance user experience, and adapting content styles and formats to meet the needs of different audiences and channels.
About You
We value your strong understanding of digital platforms and content management systems, your ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences, and your commitment to accessibility and inclusive communication. You are a creative and adaptable writer with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work.
In addition, you will come to us with:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. writing, communications, multimedia or related field) or equivalent relevant experience.
- A successful track record in writing professional content for the web that is engaging and accessible.
- Proven capability using Content Management Systems (e.g. Drupal and Wordpress) and web analytics systems (e.g. GA4, Google Data Studio and Hotjar).
- Demonstrated experience in web accessibility, inclusive communication, and plain English.
- Demonstrated experience in developing search engine optimisation-focused (SEO) content.
