Modernlane Works is a Melbourne-based Microsoft 365 and modern workplace consulting business. We help small and professional-services businesses improve how they manage Microsoft 365, users, mailboxes, access, onboarding/offboarding, Teams, SharePoint and general cloud administration.
We are looking for a part-time B2B Appointment Setter / Outbound SDR to help us identify suitable businesses, research decision-makers, send professional outreach, follow up, qualify interest and book genuine sales meetings.
This is not a high-volume spam role. We are looking for someone who can research carefully, write clearly, communicate professionally and protect the reputation of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Research suitable Australian B2B prospects, especially small and professional-services businesses
- Identify relevant decision-makers such as owners, directors, practice managers, operations managers or IT managers
- Build and maintain a clean lead tracker
- Send approved email and/or LinkedIn outreach
- Follow up professionally with prospects
- Qualify whether a prospect is a good fit before booking a meeting
- Book confirmed appointments into the calendar
- Record prospect notes, replies, objections and meeting details
- Provide a simple weekly activity and results report
- Follow all outreach, privacy and compliance instructions provided by the business
You will be a good fit if you:
- Have previous B2B appointment-setting, outbound sales, SDR or lead-generation experience
- Can write professional, human-sounding outreach messages
- Understand how to research businesses before contacting them
- Are comfortable using spreadsheets, email, LinkedIn and basic CRM-style tracking
- Can follow a structured process
- Are reliable with reporting and follow-up
- Understand that quality appointments matter more than high-volume activity
You will not be a good fit if you:
- Rely on mass email blasts
- Use generic copy-paste scripts without research
- Only want commission-only work
- Cannot provide weekly reporting
- Book unqualified meetings just to hit numbers
- Are not comfortable following compliance and brand guidelines
This role is initially part-time, approximately 8–12 hours per week, with the potential to continue if the trial period performs well.
Pay:
- Hourly rate plus bonus for qualified confirmed appointments
- Bonus is only paid for meetings that match the agreed qualification criteria
A qualified appointment means:
- The prospect is a relevant Australian business
- The person is a decision-maker or strong influencer
- The business has a real Microsoft 365, email, user access, onboarding/offboarding, Teams, SharePoint or cloud administration need
- The meeting is confirmed in the calendar
- Proper notes are provided before the meeting
