About the role
Lead the Kalgoorlie Aboriginal Short Stay service, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe, and trauma-informed support. Provide leadership, supervision, and development opportunities for staff while managing service delivery, intake and triage processes, and risk and incident responses.
In this role, you will support Aboriginal individuals and families to access accommodation and navigate complex systems, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their goals through person-centred, strengths-based approaches. You will monitor program performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, responsive services for families, and community members accessing the service.
About you
You will enjoy bringing people together, fostering a supportive team environment, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. You will be confident leading teams to achieve strong outcomes.
In addition, you will also possess:
Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Community Services or related discipline (preferred)
Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong commitment to building the attitudes, knowledge and capability of employees.
Understanding of trauma-informed practices
Knowledge and experience in programming activities and service delivery models
Current Drivers Licence
Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
