Serenity 360 Services is seeking a reliable and mature Male Disability Support Worker to support a participant living in the North‑of‑the‑River region. This requirement is based strictly on client preference under Section 30 of the Equal Opportunity Act.
This role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient, community‑focused, and confident supporting clients in outdoor, social, and community‑based environments.
About the Role
This is a casual position focused primarily on community access, including social outings, recreational activities, appointments, and community engagement.
The participant enjoys sports and social conversation, so AFL knowledge is preferred to help build rapport and support meaningful engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide community access support aligned with the participant’s NDIS goals
- Assist with social participation, recreational activities, and outings
- Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing
- Maintain professional boundaries and deliver trauma‑informed support
- Complete accurate documentation and uphold NDIS compliance standards
Essential Requirements
- Mature‑Aged Male (client preference under Section 30 of the Equal Opportunity Act)
- Experience in disability support or community access roles
- Strong communication skills and a calm, supportive approach
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional conduct
