NDIS Support Worker – Bankstown Area
Yahweh Care is seeking a reliable, confident and experienced NDIS Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to a participant in the Bankstown area.
Participant Support Needs
The participant requires a Support Worker who is calm, patient, mature and confident in supporting complex needs.
Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
- Mental health support
- Mild Intellectual Disability (MID)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder – Level 2
- ADHD and hyperactivity
- Emotional and behavioural regulation
- Community participation
- Daily living support
- Building independence and maintaining routines
Preferred Support Worker
Due to the participant's individual preferences and the importance of building a consistent and trusting relationship, we are looking for someone who demonstrates:
- A calm, patient and mature approach
- Confidence supporting complex needs
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability and consistency
- Ability to manage challenging situations appropriately
- Professional boundaries
- Ability to work independently and build positive rapport with the participant
Nepalese language skills and/or cultural understanding of Nepalese or Asian communities would be highly regarded, particularly where this supports the participant's communication and cultural preferences.
However, we welcome applications from all suitable candidates who have strong communication skills and are confident supporting participants with complex needs.
Qualifications
A formal disability or community services qualification is NOT mandatory.
Candidates without a Certificate III or IV are welcome to apply if they have the right attitude, relevant experience or confidence to provide quality support and meet all mandatory compliance requirements.
Previous experience in disability support, mental health, aged care, community services or a similar support role will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have all required clearances and compliance checks, including:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check / NDIS Worker Clearance
- Current National Police Check, where required
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Own reliable vehicle
- Appropriate vehicle insurance
- Legal right to work in Australia
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to complete Yahweh Care's mandatory onboarding and compliance requirements

Location Requirement
Applicants living in Bankstown or approximately 5–10 km from Bankstown and surrounding suburbs are strongly encouraged to apply.
Having your own reliable vehicle is essential for this position.
