Process Worker / Production Assistant

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated Process Worker who enjoys hands-on work, has a keen eye for detail and wants to learn a specialised trade. If you have the right attitude, we’ll provide the training.

About the Role
Working alongside our experienced team, you’ll help prepare customer work ready for processing while maintaining the high quality standards Sterling Electro Plating is known for.
Your day may include:
- Preparing customer jobs before the plating process.
- Cleaning, masking and preparing components.
- Loading and unloading work safely.
- Packing completed work for dispatch or customer collection.
- Following detailed work instructions and production procedures.
- Performing quality inspections throughout the process.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace.
- Assisting with workshop operations as required.
As your skills develop, you’ll receive training in specialised electroplating processes, including silver plating and other decorative and industrial finishes.
About You
You don’t need previous electroplating experience.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Takes pride in producing quality work.
- Is reliable, punctual and honest.
- Learns quickly and follows procedures accurately.
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work.
- Can work independently and as part of a small team.
- Communicates well and has a positive attitude.
- Is physically fit and capable of lifting and handling components safely.
Essential
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
- Australian working rights.
Preferred (but not essential)
- Forklift licence.
- First Aid certificate.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, automotive, metal finishing, fabrication or production environments.
- Experience working around chemicals or industrial processes.
Applicants must be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance if successful.
