THE ROLE
As Director, Programs and Sustaining Housing, you will oversee the execution of systemic strategies that prevent homelessness, provide immediate responses, connect vulnerable individuals to stable long-term housing and when they are housed, ensure they stay housed for as long as it's needed.
You will be responsible for translating homelessness reform directions into the modernisation of core funded and newly funded programs while also working with local divisional areas, state departments, local government and funded agencies to deliver programs with a focus on achieving better outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness across Victoria.
You will lead, mentor and oversee a multidisciplinary team by providing day to day operational management, professional development and a continuous focus on a collaborative and productive work environment.
Reporting to the Executive Director - Homelessness and Sustaining Housing Outcomes, the Director, Programs and Sustaining Housing, will have a clear focus on early intervention, prevention and sustained housing, and the modernisation and strengthened performance monitoring of existing homelessness funded programs.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

Provide leadership and program oversight in a high volume, complex operational environment ensuring that activities are strategically coordinated to identify and evaluate new and emerging risks, opportunities, patterns and trends in accordance with Ministerial and government directions.

Maximises effectiveness by selecting, developing, managing and motivating a high performing team. Clearly defines role expectations, monitors performance, provides timely and constructive feedback and facilitates employee development.

Apply a highly developed understanding of the homelessness system commensurate with an understanding of the social, political, environmental and economic contexts, including State-wide, national or international influences
