THE OPPORTUNITY
Location: Coominya
Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunity for a Qualified Electrician to join our team in a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment.
Work environments will vary from assembly lines, refrigeration and warehouse areas.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach.
- Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance.
- Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis.
- Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety.
- Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities.
- Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment.
- Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant.
ROSTER
- Monday to Friday with occasional paid weekend work.
Renumeration
- Day shift $48.35 per hour. Plus, shift penalties and overtime
ABOUT YOU
- A grade Queensland Electrical licence essential.
- Trade certificate-Electrician
- CPR low voltage rescue and recovery.
- Pro-actively check and maintain electrical systems and circuits on all equipment in
accordance with planned maintenance requirements and manufactures instruction.
- Service and repair plant machinery and investigate breakdown cause and effect.
- Provide advice on operating procedures for plant and equipment to ensure optimum performance trouble shooting machinery and systems
- Maintenance of the test and tag program for all plant machinery
- PLC experience highly regarded
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven knowledge of work health & safety, safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- A high standard of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously being proactive and efficient.
- High level fault finding and problem solving skills.
- Modern control systems including VSDs, soft starters and PLC controls systems highly regarded.
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle or reliable means of getting to work.
