We're a Managed Service Provider based in Canberra, delivering end-to-end IT solutions to a diverse client base. We're now looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Officer to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where no two days look the same. You'll be the friendly face (and voice) of our service desk , providing Level 1 and Level 2 support, managing client Microsoft 365 environments, and keeping networks, applications, and ICT peripherals running reliably across multiple client sites.
You'll report to IT Manager and work closely with both the Operations and Finance teams, so you'll get broad exposure across the business , not just the tech side.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering responsive Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to our clients, both remotely and in person.
- Administering and maintaining client Microsoft 365 environments, including user accounts, licensing, and security.
- Supporting client networks, applications, printers, and other ICT peripherals.
- Communicating directly with clients .
- Escalating complex issues appropriately and providing regular updates and reporting to management.
- Collaborating with the IT Operations and Finance teams on internal projects and client deliverables.
- Travelling to client sites around Canberra as required (so a driver's licence will come in handy).
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking (LAN/WAN), firewalls, and Active Directory
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are a plus
- Current Australian working rights and a valid driver’s license
Highly Desirable
- Power BI skills and a sound understanding of database systems, with prior hands-on experience.
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks and ticketing systems.
- Experience with Windows Server management and Microsoft Intune.
