Responsibilities
As a HR Business Partner, you will join the business on a 12-month fixed term contract, working closely with operational leaders to provide strategic and operational HR support within a complex blue-collar environment. You will partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, manage employee relations matters, support Enterprise Agreement processes, and contribute to workforce initiatives across multiple sites. This role requires a proactive, resilient, and confident HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- HR Business Partnering: Partner closely with operational leaders to provide strategic HR support aligned with business objectives and workforce planning.
- Employee Relations: Manage day-to-day employee relations matters including performance management, investigations, disciplinary matters, and coaching leaders through workplace issues.
- Enterprise Agreements & Industrial Relations: Support Enterprise Agreement negotiations throughout the 12-month fixed term contract and work collaboratively with the wider ER team on industrial relations matters.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Employee Engagement: Drive employee engagement initiatives and support the development of a positive workplace culture across multiple operational sites.
- Coaching & Leadership Support: Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to leaders across people management, communication, and workforce challenges.
- HR Reporting & Compliance: Analyse HR metrics, identify trends, and ensure compliance with workplace legislation, policies, and procedures.
Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships with employees, management, and key stakeholders across the business.

With experience supporting blue-collar workforces and navigating industrial relations matters, they can build credibility quickly and work collaboratively across all levels of the business.
- Essential: Previous experience in a HR Business Partner position within a large, multi-site organisation.
- Exposure to manufacturing, warehousing, industrial, or other blue-collar environments.
- Experience working within Enterprise Agreement (EA) frameworks and unionised workforces.
- Strong employee relations and stakeholder management experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and influence leaders.
- A proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach to work.
Availability to commit to a 12-month fixed term contract.
