Join a dynamic and innovative team at Bluey’s World, a world-first children’s experience in Northshore, Hamilton. Provide excellent customer service, efficient ticket sales and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations in the Bluey’s World Box Office and Info Booth.
General Duties
- Wear uniform provided, present as clean, neat & tidy.
- Adhere to high Work Safety standards in line with WHS Legislation.
- Report any risks promptly to the Box Office Manager or Site Supervisor.
- Install and use Deputy scheduling app.
- Arrive promptly for shifts, sign in/out diligently.
- Seek additional tasks from your Supervisor during quieter periods.
- Act professionally and respect fellow colleagues, patrons and venue infrastructure.
Specific Duties – Box Office Assistant
Customer Service
- Act in a professional manner to ensure the smooth running of Bluey’s World Box Office.
- Handle patron enquiries, questions and issues in a friendly, efficient and accessible manner.
- Process ticket and photo purchases efficiently, accurately and in a friendly and accessible manner.
- Assist in resolving minor customer complaints to enhance the experience.
- Refer any problematic patrons to the appropriate supervisor or manager on duty.
- Collect and report customer feedback to help improve event offerings and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the schedule, production details, ticketing prices, upsells, packages and ticket deals to communicate this information accurately and consistently.
- Take responsibility for the monetary transactions you make and report any issues or discrepancies promptly.
Box Office Operations
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Bluey’s World ticketing and provide informed recommendations to customers regarding their transactions.
- Ensure all Box Office equipment is functioning and seek assistance from the relevant team to resolve any issues.
- Communicate with the Front of House and Experience teams regarding any issues, ticketing problems or relevant information in a calm, polite and collaborative manner.
- Dispose of waste and packaging correctly.
- Assist with upsell and photo inventory counts and ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Maintain lost property records and storage, including a monthly clean-out cycle.
Technical Proficiency
- Undertake Aspect training on site with the Box Office Manager and demonstrate proficiency in Ticketek Aspect usage.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Ticketek, MS Excel (Google Sheets) and general administration processes; training will be provided for all required systems.
Communication and Collaboration
- Effectively communicate with team members to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve the efficiency of Box Office operations.
- Complete team handovers as directed by your Supervisor.
- Coordinate with other departments as needed to ensure the Box Office is well supported.
- Represent the Bluey brand with diplomacy, discretion and courtesy at all times, including when referring to the event, sponsors and partnerships.
- Adhere to the company Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy.
- Undertake any other tasks reasonably required for the smooth running of Bluey’s World.
