Looking For
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Aged or Disabled Carers to join growing team on a full-time basis. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities and complex support needs in accordance with their individual goals and support plans.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide person-centred care and support to clients in their homes, supported accommodation settings, and within the community.
· Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.
· Support clients with mobility and transfers while promoting safety and independence.
· Accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, social events, and recreational programs.
· Assist clients to develop daily living skills and increase their independence.
· Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to enhance clients' wellbeing and social participation.
· Assist with household tasks including cleaning, laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe living environment.
· Support clients with shopping, errands, and accessing community services.
· Assist with transport arrangements and accompany clients during travel where required.
· Monitor client wellbeing and promptly report any concerns, incidents, or changes in circumstances to supervisors.
· Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and NDIS requirements.
· Promote clients' rights, dignity, choice, and independence at all times.
· Work collaboratively with families, guardians, support coordinators, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to support positive client outcomes.
Skills and Attributes: -
· AQF Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or equivalent)
· Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a similar field.
· Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care principles.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Current National Police Clearance.
· Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
· Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
· Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays where required.
Job Type & Salary: -
· This is a full-time permanent job.
· The base salary will be AUD 80,000- AUD 90,000 plus superannuation.
Working Hours: -
· Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
